At around 12:40 pm today, Dr. K.Beichhua handed his resignation from the post of Minister of State to the Chief Minister. In his letter, Dr. K.Beichhua thanked the Chief Minister for his generosity and guidance over the years.
According to sources, Dr. Beichhua's resignation comes at the behest of the Chief Minister, on the account of reshuffling the Cabinet Minister's portfolios.
The various departments under Dr. K.Beichhua's portfolio include :
1. Social Welfare
2. Excise & Narcotics
3. Sericulture department
4. Animal Husbandry & Veterinary department
