In accordance to the decision made by the meeting of the representatives of Federation of Mizoram Government Employees & Workers (FMGE &W) on 6 May, 2021, members of FMGE & W donated Rs. 300 lakhs to the Chief Minister's Fund for Covid-19 today. The decision to contribute to the Fund was made in pursuance of the request made by the state government for financial aid. The Federation was approached by Mr. Lalnunmawia Chuaungo, Chief Secretary and other authorities fron the Finance Department regarding the finncial crisis faced by the state in the fight against Covid19. Members of the Federation contributed their one-day salary to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund for Covid-19.
State Institute of Rural & Panchayati Raj (SIRD & PR) also donated Rs. 76,524/- to the CM Relief Fund today. In addition to this, contributions are made daily to the Relief Fund by local churches, NGO's and individuals.
