Goals from Mumtaz Khan (11th minute), Lalrindiki (15th) and Sangita Kumari (41st) and the spectacular team spirit of the girls took the team to the semi finals which will be played on Sunday.
Lalrindiki, who scored India's crucial second goal for the win, has consistently delivered outstanding performances since the start of the tournament, having scored a total of 4 goals throughout the 4 matches that India has played. The three Olympians- Tete, Devi and Lalremsiami proved to be the team's lead players who guide the team with their experience having played at the highest level in the Tokyo Olympics.
