Aizawl Municipal Corporation proposed a regulation to prohibit raising of livestock within 100 ft of human residence. The regulation is scheduled to be enforced from January 15, 2024.
Board of Corporators meeting, presided over by Mayor Lalrinenga Sailo also discussed decluttering of cables all over the city and proposed garbage collection in heavily populated areas to be done at night, in an effort to alleviate traffic jams as well as offer convenience to residents. The BoC also proposed providing helpers to all garbage collector trucks, without whom garbage collection duties should not be carried out.
