After a week long onstage competition, Serkawn VC band won the Seki Inter-Village Band Contest 2022 (Open Category). The winning band's guitarist Gabriel Lalhmangaihzuala won the Best Guitarist title and R. Vanlalzawna fron the same vand was awarded the Best Drummer title in the competition. Polysphere, a band representing Chanmari West LC bagged the second prize followed by Electric Veng LC in the third place. The band's keyboardist Lalrinsanga won the Best Keyboardist title. Other individual titles include Best Vocalist, awarded to Lalremruata of Ramthar LC and Best Bassist title to Lalhmangaihzuala of Polysphere.
Last night's result announcement ceremony was accompanied by stunning performances from popular local artists like Benjamin Sum, Matilda & the Quest, K. Hminga, Avora Records and others.
Seki is currently the biggest rock contest in the state and will hopefully continue to provide platform for music lovers in the coming years.
